And here we are. Another birthday. An older child. Getting more beautiful and smart by the day.
You turned three today! We just got back from Memphis last night. We celebrated your third there with Naani, JoePop, Birdie, HeyHey, Laura, Chris, and Evan. It was so much fun. We ate at one of your favorite restaurants, Soul Fish, and then had ice cream cake and opened presents at Birdie and HeyHey’s house. You soaked it all up.
And since we practically share a birthday, your Dad and I left you in Memphis while we took a much needed vacation to the mountains with Laura, Chris, and our other friends Vanessa and Henry to celebrate my 30th. I have to say we missed you terribly, but it was an amazing time with great friends.
When we got back into town (and got the most amazing welcoming from our baby girl) we stayed one more night at Naani and Joepop’s to celebrate her 63rd, and then hit the road the next morning. We have now just gotten done celebrating with our friends in our home. Again, you soaked it all up. I think after today, you will think every day is your birthday.
I can’t believe you are three. It seems like just yesterday that sweet round face came into the world. You have grown into the funniest, smartest, and most beautiful little thing I have ever seen. I am amazed at some of the things you come up with! Your imagination makes me smile and your cute songs you make up make me laugh.
Most popular phrase at the moment: “I don’t know about this!” and “I love you toot!” (followed with a chuckle because you think you are so funny!)
You see that dimple next to your nose? It’s only there when you smile big. Always has been since the first day you could smile. It is one of the many things about you that can define only you.
If you reference back to January 2014 to the entry “Facebook post on your birthday” you will see the dimple there as well.
